Piera Systems

Piera Systems is a company that is all about air quality monitoring and measuring. Inspired by climate change, wildfires, and COVID, they are trying to make it accessible for people to monitor the air. These two products were a great challenge to face, as these housings are on a very small scale with very intricate internal structures.

The housings in both of the products contain miniature air pathways that can sample a surprisingly large amount of air and give clear, real-time results of the particulates in the area. The biggest hurdles we overcame were making the overall designs clean and functional, while maintaining interesting aesthetics and excellent manufacturability and simple assembly.
