A considerable amount of research, simulation, and testing has gone into these extremely effective back support products. They can be used in any chair that you can fit them on and they quite literally change the way you sit and forces you to maintain a healthy posture. We have found just the right points on peoples' backs to eliminate hunching over and have built in enough strength into the product for a long-lasting solution. It was quite a difficult hurdle to make them attractive and effective, but I think we achieved it.
The most challenging aspects of these products were to make sure that the surfaces and forms of them were smooth and eye-catching and also treated the cause of bad posture. These products were also tests of material choices. All of our tests included different material options and we collaborated with PopFoam to make the outer cushions and find the right formula for them to have a good feel. ​As a bonus, we worked with doctors to make sure that they are effective, with just the correct amount of stiffness and flexibility. I learned in these projects that making a product that seems simple can be a very complex process.
